SUPER Assessor: Intro
By Åshild Wilhelmsen and Ingrid Sivertsen from SUPER Educator
SUPER Assessor is an educational tool co-created by Åshild, Ingrid, and their colleagues as a part of a project called SUPER, a project financed by HK-dir.
SUPER is a project that focuses on student active learning when meeting wicked problems. A part of the project has assessment as the main component, and the idea of a game was created as a way of facilitating student active learning in assessment.
SUPER Assessor is both a conceptual framework and a physical card-based tool designed to help educators develop and rethink assessment methods. The tool consists of 130 cards divided into six categories: who is assessed, the assessor, context, artefact, format, and timing. Educators can combine cards across these categories to create diverse and innovative assessment methods. Additional mission cards introduce real-world constraints like innovation or cost-cutting. SUPER Assessor can be used individually for idea generation or collaboratively as a game with colleagues, aiming to promote awareness of the factors influencing assessment design and to encourage a balance between efficiency and meaningful student learning.
